Just returned from a 5 night stay. It is such a wonderful place to stay. So quiet and peaceful, yet located close to the town of Scarborough for amenities. The cottage was lovely and clean, very well stocked with kitchen amenities, well heated, piping hot water and good internet and television with Amazon and Netflix. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Dog friendly garden. There are some great off lead dog walks in Bickley forest, Raincliffe Woods and the cinder Track from Scarborough to Whitby can be accessed from a number of places. Will be back!

Real friendly kind people lovely place away from it all

Lovely quiet house with amazing views. Short drive to seaside. Wood fire inside but also central heating. Summer house to watch the sunset. Horse in the field next door. View of woodpeckers in the garden while you do your washing up. Fully stocked kitchen, even things like oil and freezer bags. Spacious bedrooms. Everything was great and we booked to go again as soon as we left!

Beautiful cottage with three good sized bedrooms, a large lounge dining area and bathroom with shower and a good sized kitchen, with washing machine and dishwasher. Beautifully decorated, free WiFi, bedlinen and towels included. Games cupboard and ample book shelf. Gorgeous views, beautiful garden and fantastic summer house with out door play toys.

Brilliant cottage to explore the Scarborough area. Clean, comfortable and in a peaceful place. Has everything you need for a holiday home.

Beautiful cottage with stunning scenery and country side. The perfect place for some respite and to get out of the city. Lovely hosts, really friendly and just the break I needed!

Very nice place in the country run by some very nice people. Don't let the decor fool you, they have a massive fully equipped Smart TV in the living room if you want to sit around, otherwise it's a short drive to reach Scarbrough or Whitby. Also they don't call it woodpeckers cottage for nothing, keep an eye out and you might see one or two around.
